We provide innovative solutions to key technical challenges and superb training for future leaders in the unmanned aircraft systems industry.
We have extensive experience in conducting flight test operations of small unmanned aircraft systems. Each university owns and operates a fleet of fixed-wing and multi-rotor unmanned aircraft. Researchers in the center perform flight tests under FAA-approved Certificates of Authorization (COA) and in FAA-designated restricted airspace and have access to state-of-the art university labs and facilities.
C-UAS research activities are determined and guided by industry members. These include fundamental, pre-competitive investigations that complement the internal R&D activities of the industry member organizations.
Our UAS research covers a broad scope of topics including aerospace, autonomy, robotics, remote sensing, sensors, data collection, sensor fusion, integration, data analysis, computer vision, machine learning, and perception.
The Center includes researchers from multiple disciplines including computer science, mechanical, electrical, aerospace, civil, and chemical engineering.
